Never assume that in life you can wait another minute, but take care of eternity today. The Bible shows us clearly how we can know that Heaven is our eternal home right this very minute. There are a few things you must know:

ALL HAVE SINNED

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23) We all have sinned before God. Sin is defined as “missing the mark”, or in simple terms doing something in my life that displeases God and oversteps His boundary for my life, as shown in the Word of God. We all have this sin problem because of Adam’s sin, “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.” (Romans 5:12) Because of this sin we have “come short of the glory of God.” God’s glory is His perfection. He lived a perfect life on earth and we have come short of that no matter how close we come. We must acknowledge and admit to the fact that we have sinned before a righteous, perfect, holy God.

OUR SIN REQUIRES A PAYMENT

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23) The wages, or “payment” of our sin is death (eternal life in the Lake of Fire.) The penalty that our sin has brought us is an eternal existence in Hell. That’s what we deserve; but Christ offers an option to give us life eternal.

JESUS DIED TO TAKE OUR SINS AWAY

“But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8) God commendeth, or “showed” His love for us by dying in our place. Our sins needed forgiveness and Jesus sacrificed His life to forgive our sins. The blood that He shed on the cross was the substitute for our sin penalty.

WE MUST CALL ON HIM TO BE OUR SAVIOR

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13) We must call on His name in prayer to be saved. We can spend eternity in Hell because of our sin or receive the gift of salvation for eternal life in Heaven. If you would like to receive Jesus today, just pray a prayer similar to this: Dear Jesus, I know according to your Word that I am a sinner. I know I deserve to die and pay the penalty for my sin, but I believe that you died for me and paid the penalty for my sin. I want you to be my personal Savior. Please forgive me of my sin and be my Savior. Thank you for saving me. Amen.

If you have been helped by this or have received Christ as your Savior, we would love to know. We will try to help you after salvation in anyway that we can. Please e-mail us.
