Victory Baptist Church Prayer Requests

  • Sister in law Robbie
Please pray for sister in law. She has tested positive for Covid and was just sent to hospital emergency room by ambulance. Her oxygen level was down to 83. There are no visitors allowed in hospital.
  • Friend of Family Teresa McDonough
Family friend Teresa McDonough is in the hospital with blood clots and lymphoedema. She has been in and out of the hospital with these health problems.
  • Sister Joan Pneumonia
My sister Joan Sears is in the hospital fighting pneumonia, please pray for her health.
  • Thank you
I praise the Lord for all the prayers about my medical supplies and other concerns. Thank you so much.

I also appreciate the cards I received when I arrived home from the hospital. Thank you for being a blessing!
  • Multiple follow up appointments
Continuing the follow up appointments from the T I A/ vertigo and at my last appointment the Doctor was in fact able to bring on the vertigo and reset my ear crystals for now but he says I still have to follow up with a neurologist and he’s set us up with one down in the city. Dan continues to do the driving because of this.

We have another appointment this Friday, to follow up on not only the abnormalities found on both the MRIs done on my sacroiliac joints but also my lumbar spine. We will also discuss the degeneration in my neck. During my past 2 appointments with this group of doctors there’s been more abnormal findings in my lab work. The one is talking of putting me back on biological drug infusions or shots the other doctor wants to put me on Methotrexate but I believe now with Vertigo symptoms that’s not advisable ( so I believe the Lords taken care of that.)
He ( one of the doctors) has also mentioned that my Lab work is showing borderline Lupus. I am having a hard time believing this for 3 reasons: 1). It’s more than likely caused by my Crohns and Ankylosing Spondylitis according to another health practitioner and Doctor and 2). It’s extremely rare ( according to NIH for a person to have both Crohns and Lupus. 3). I have more symptoms of Sjogrens disease ( which would show up with the same abnormal lab results) than Lupus. I do have to admit however that I am feeling Very fatigued and more weak from pain, lack of decent s night of uninterrupted sleep and just underlying inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. It’s hard dealing with all this physically and even trying to understand and come to terms with all of these things and other things I’m hearing and dealing with other specialist I see or have seen. Just pray God will give a song and peace in my heart and mind during the times when this all starts to become overwhelming. I know that no one else can truly understand what I’m going through only My Lord and Savior my dearest friend Jesus. I do however appreciate your prayers. Thanks 🙂

I’m needing to have a follow up MRI enteroscopy with contrast every 6-12 months to follow up on the lesion that was found in a very hard place to get to in my small intestine. Please pray the doctor in Baltimore will just send me the MRE order to my home

  • Scott And Marissa Brocious

Dear Brothers and Sisters at Victory,
It is with great joy and hearts overflowing with thanks to God for an answer to prayer concerning Isaac. As you know, Isaac has lived 17 years as non-verbal and diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. On May 2nd during our worship service, Isaac was being kept occupied with a dry erase book of tracing dotted letters and numbers. On a whim of curiosity, I began to give him patterns with numbers (counting by 10's, 5's, 3's, etc.). He was able to supply the missing numbers that occurred in various locations in the sequence of numbers. This so intrigued me that I began giving him random multiplication facts which he could find the answer, as well as a missing factor. Scott and I just looked at each other across the top of his head totally dumbfounded. Later that afternoon, I thought I'd try words. I asked him to write...Daddy, Noah, Luke, Grandmom, Grandpop...he wrote them all and spelled them all correctly! Scott asked Isaac who I was and he wrote 'mom'. What began as just a word here or there has blossomed into him writing phrases and simple sentences. He answers our verbal questions, as well as written questions...yes, this dear boy can READ!!! He wrote his address, which no one has ever taught him! Perhaps, the most wonderful questions and responses have been these: Who died on the cross? Answer: Jesus; Why did he die? Answer: sin; Did he die for you? Answer: Yes; Do you sin? Answer: Yes; What is sin? Answer: Bad; Where will you go when you die? Answer: Heaven; Are you a Christian? Answer: Yes, I am. Yes, I am. His favorite church song is Jesus Saves. He knows my favorite hymn...The Lily of the Valley. Just last night I wrote out John 3:16 with blanks for him to fill in the missing words....I thought this may be a long shot, but God is AMAZING! Isaac filled in the missing key words from the verse. So, we wanted to share this fabulous news on the progress that Isaac is making and that finally he has a way to break free from the bondage of silence. Everyday our minds are astounded at the information that he knows and our hearts overflow with joy at being able to communicate with him. The verse that immediately came to my mind as these events have occurred in the past month is Ephesians 3:20-21..."Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout the ages, world without end." Thank you all for your prayers!
