Victory Baptist Church Prayer Requests

  • Update on medical supplies and ….
We’re So glad that that after arriving home after being away for a few days for Dan’s birthday that my medical supplies had been delivered while we were gone and though the samples of other products I tried worked (not great) , they did however get me through that time. :-), God truly works things out! He provided beautiful weather while we were gone and we really enjoyed getting away for a short time from more follow up test and appointments.
We met a Christian family at the hotel the first night we were gone, they were displaced when their home caught on fire. The way we met was just as Dan and I were settling in for the 6 PM Victory online service the fire alarm starting blaring and that family and Dan and I were leaving our rooms at the same time. The husband ( Clay) during the fire alarm blaring and deep concern of smelling smoke offered to carry my suitcase with all my medical supplies down 4 flights of stairs. I praise God for him and God sending that man just at the right time. I pray / please pray for them as I found out from his wife that they have been and will be living in the hotel while waiting a number of months before their home will be livable again. It was touching to see the fright and concern on their young sons face while waiting on the fire fighters to arrive after the trauma and upheaval that he and his family had already been through.
  • Medical Supplies shortage
    I found out 2 Fridays
ago that my medical supplier is out of one of the parts to my medical device that I need replaced 2x a week. They have sent me something else that we’re not sure is going to work, The Lord has gotten me through many trying times and I’m sure he will do the same here. I pray that this other part will work in the interim and if not God will supply another solution. Thanks again for prayers

  • Aunt Evelyn Stitely
My Aunt Evelyn is under hospice care at York PA hospital. Doctors are expecting only days before her passing. Please pray for her family. She is 72 years old, married with 4 sons. She was my Maid of Honor at my wedding. She did accept Jesus on 9/23/2020.
  • Uncle Vernon
My uncle continues recovery at 85 years of age . It’s remarkable that he’s not letting on about the great deal of recovery he has left. Other than the statement ( when I asked if he were keeping from going up and down the stairs)...”they’re ( his wife and a daughter) are making me take it easy; A triple bypass and an Arctic valve replacement at Any age takes a great deal out of you and much recovery time.

  • Scott And Marissa Brocious

Dear Brothers and Sisters at Victory,
It is with great joy and hearts overflowing with thanks to God for an answer to prayer concerning Isaac. As you know, Isaac has lived 17 years as non-verbal and diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. On May 2nd during our worship service, Isaac was being kept occupied with a dry erase book of tracing dotted letters and numbers. On a whim of curiosity, I began to give him patterns with numbers (counting by 10's, 5's, 3's, etc.). He was able to supply the missing numbers that occurred in various locations in the sequence of numbers. This so intrigued me that I began giving him random multiplication facts which he could find the answer, as well as a missing factor. Scott and I just looked at each other across the top of his head totally dumbfounded. Later that afternoon, I thought I'd try words. I asked him to write...Daddy, Noah, Luke, Grandmom, Grandpop...he wrote them all and spelled them all correctly! Scott asked Isaac who I was and he wrote 'mom'. What began as just a word here or there has blossomed into him writing phrases and simple sentences. He answers our verbal questions, as well as written questions...yes, this dear boy can READ!!! He wrote his address, which no one has ever taught him! Perhaps, the most wonderful questions and responses have been these: Who died on the cross? Answer: Jesus; Why did he die? Answer: sin; Did he die for you? Answer: Yes; Do you sin? Answer: Yes; What is sin? Answer: Bad; Where will you go when you die? Answer: Heaven; Are you a Christian? Answer: Yes, I am. Yes, I am. His favorite church song is Jesus Saves. He knows my favorite hymn...The Lily of the Valley. Just last night I wrote out John 3:16 with blanks for him to fill in the missing words....I thought this may be a long shot, but God is AMAZING! Isaac filled in the missing key words from the verse. So, we wanted to share this fabulous news on the progress that Isaac is making and that finally he has a way to break free from the bondage of silence. Everyday our minds are astounded at the information that he knows and our hearts overflow with joy at being able to communicate with him. The verse that immediately came to my mind as these events have occurred in the past month is Ephesians 3:20-21..."Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout the ages, world without end." Thank you all for your prayers!
